CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE RED 2013
Bernard Giuliani has inherited from his parents and grandparents the passion of the profession, the respect of the soil, the art of the elaboration of the wines.
The Domaine Giuliani vineyard is located on the south-eastern slope of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, on sandy and stony soils, pebbles rolled, characteristic of this extraordinary terroir. For their first vinification in independent vintners on the 2006 vintage, Bernard and Aline Giuliani propose a red Châteauneuf du Pape from selected plots.

THE VINEYARD
From selected plots, old vines over 50 years old located on the best soils. 70% Grenache 15% Syrah. 15% Mourvedre.

TERROIR
Rolled pebbles, sand, limestone clay.

WINEMAKING
Manual harvesting with severe sorting in the vineyard, light crushing and total destemming. Traditional fermentation in thermo-regulated concrete tanks and frustoconical wood, vatting for 30 days with controlled temperatures. Beginning of fermentations at low temperatures, no addition of yeasts (indigenous yeasts). Windings / pigeages / daily shedding. Cuvaison of 4 to 5 weeks. Pressing with pneumatic press and separation of juices from presses and juice of drops. Aged 18 months concrete tank.

Châteauneuf du Pape bottle 75 cl Mitrale.
1st natural cork stopper 44×24
Boxes of 2×3 lying down.

WINE
Appearance: ruby red color.
Nose: ripe fruit, Kirch, red fruit jam, blackcurrant. Perfume of truffle.
Palate: very supple and fat. Very coated tannins. Notes of ripe fruit, quince paste. Soft and full-bodied wine with great aging potential.
Tasting: perfectly accompanies traditional gastronomy, meats and cheeses.
